Frequently asked questions

We have compiled a list of some of the questions we feel you may want answering. We will add to this page from time to time, as more questions are presented to us.

What is Makkah.co.uk about?

Makkah.co.uk is an all-in-one web-based hajj and umrah quoting and comparison system, which makes it easy for pilgrims to compare and book hajj and umrah packages from licensed tour operators in the UK. We compare hundreds of packages to find you the best deal to match your requirements.

Will it cost me anything to use this site?

No. The use of the Makkah.co.uk website is absolutely free. We’ve made it easy for you to request hajj and umrah quotes from licensed operators in just minutes, securely and privately. When you find a deal you like, we’ll link you direct to the tour operator so you can discuss the hajj or umrah package in more detail. We also keep your contact details hidden from the agents at all times (you have the option to reveal or hide your telephone number from the agent when requesting a quote).

Will only licensed hajj and umrah agents be quoting for me?

Yes. We have a strict policy that only agents who are registered with ATOL and are licensed by the Saudi Ministry of Haj and Umra can quote for our members. We are not interested in working with sub agents, or potentially fraudulent fly-by-night agents.

Do the travel agents pay to feature on Makkah.co.uk?

No. This site is 100% FREE for both agents and pilgrims. What matters to us is that the hajj and umrah organisers are licensed and have been approved to carry out such services. That way, we can be sure that your pilgrimage to Makkah is a pleasant experience. If you’re an established licensed hajj and umrah agent and would like to feature on the site, call 0161 641 4374.
